This is a small, static site about phrase origins. We keep it simple.
No tracking cookies, no analytics
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. There are no forms and no sign-ups here, so we don’t collect your name or email address.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical data (such as your IP address and browser details) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
YouTube videos
Videos don’t load until you click play. When you do, the player loads from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to what happens in the player.
Links to other sites
Shop links go to our store on Payhip, and some links carry campaign tags (such as utm_source=site) so we can tell which page sent a visit. Payhip and other linked sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If this changes, for example if we add analytics, we’ll update this page and its date first.
